Aaron Krusniak is a grad student and aspiring urbanist.
Aaron Krusniak is a student residing in Ann Arbor, MI and attending the University of Michigan to receive a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In the past, he also worked part-time as a semi-professional stage actor. His experiences with theatre and love for the arts continues to influence much of what he does today.
Outside of coursework, he devotes much of his time to ongoing research with UM’s Urban Collaboratory team. His interests within urban planning mostly revolve around smart, connected cities and how emerging technologies can impact the world’s cityscapes. Aaron’s original home being located in rural Missouri, bridging the U.S. urban-rural divide is also an important issue.
When he’s not working, he generally likes to spend his time making, contributing to, or consuming others’ art through writing, design, music, programming, acting, and film. Global pandemic notwithstanding, you can often find him cooking food with/for friends, swimming or playing tennis, buying houseplants he doesn’t strictly need, hanging out downtown, watching the next meteor shower, or working on the daily crossword. If you know what the answer to today’s 28-Across is, please let him know.
