(Autumn 2017 – Spring 2018) Throughout the 2017-2018 school year I worked as a Policy & Programming Intern at the Oklahoma Policy Institute, a fantastic non-profit organization devoted to analyzing state policy and budgets. One of the things I got to do while I was there was rewrite the codebase for their CountySTATS tool, which can be used to view a plethora of demographic and economic information on any of Oklahoma’s 77 counties.
To make the new charts, I heavily relied on the D3.js library and some handy CSS tools. You can view the implementation on OKPolicy’s website with the link above, or you can check out the GitHub repo here.
